Our Governance

Jupiter Primary School is part of Danes Educational Trust.

Danes Educational Trust Board has responsibility for the operation of the Trust, but delegates some of the responsibilities to a local level. Therefore, schools within the Trust have a School Board, comprising of local Governors. The School Board holds four meetings per year. In addition, each School Board has an Admissions Committee and a Senior Staff Pay and Remuneration Committee.

Clare Charlton

Chair of Governors
Clare Charlton was appointed Chair in December 2022.  Clare brings commercial, marketing and fundraising experience from working across multiple sectors in the private and public sector including Cadbury Plc, British Airways and current leadership role at The Open University. 

Clare is passionate about learning and believes everyone should have the same opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential. In addition to mentoring as part of her role at The Open University, Clare works closely with the BBC, Department of Education and with inspirational charities and education specialists. Clare’s passion point is championing dyslexic thinking and creativity in schools and in the workplace.

Trust appointed Governor Gemma joined as a governor in 2023 as she has a passion for supporting her local community. She is an experienced Senior buyer in the retail sector and will use her strategic skills to support the school. She is also a qualified mental health first aider. G ri 500pdf

Alan Robinson
Grace Reddy Elected Parent Governor Grace joined as a governor in May 2023 and is a passionate mother of two boys who attend the school. As a profession, Grace works as a Duty Control Manager for the Elizabeth Line. She is a committed individual that takes an interest in how parents can work together to improve the school and local community. Grace has previously volunteered as a parent representative in another school and enjoyed being able to contribute towards the school in this way. Grace is a very approachable individual, with a positive mindset and is looking forward to having a deeper involvement with the school community. G Re
Estella king Trust appointed Governor

Estella joined as our Community Governor (parents and the wider community) in November 2024. Estella is a Senior HR Business Partner working with senior business leads lending a wealth of experiences in diversity, inclusion, scaling high performance teams and building collaborative relationships in a variety of industries, including most recently Technology where she is passionate about being at the forefront of how AI systems will change the world in a safe manner. 

With a real passion for developing people capability and ensuring conversations have the right data driven insights to enable robust decision making and drive effective outcomes; Estella is a local resident and keen to contribute to developing her local community, with a key belief in how the right groundings in early education can provide endless future opportunities. Estella believes in the power of leveraging the collective skillsets of any team so is excited to be part of a dynamic board to contribute in driving the goals of Jupiter.

Kathryn Gibb  Trust appointed Governor Kathryn has worked in Education for over 25 years in the Education Sector, and as an Educational Psychologist for over 22 years, providing psychological support in mainstream schools, special schools and alternative provisions.  In her teaching roles she worked in a school with an additional resource provision for SEMH and as a SENDCo she worked in a school with high mobility in an area of deprivation. These early career experiences left Kathryn valuing Education as a resource for strengthening families and communities. Kathryn has had lead roles in Local Authorities in Mental Health, Anti-bullying and Autism, successfully supporting education setting to introduce Therapeutic and Trauma Informed practice and reduce the use of timeout, positive handling and exclusion.
Kathryn is dedicated to supporting Schools and Settings to provide an environment where all members of the community feel a strong sense of belonging and have the support they need to thrive and succeed.
